Maxxus "Montilemar Edition" 3-Person Near Zero EMF FAR Infrared Sauna - Canadian Red Cedar
What Are Infrared Rays?
Infrared is a band of light we experience as heat. Although invisible to the naked eye, we feel its effects as warmth. The sun emits most of its energy in the infrared spectrum. Infrared rays heat your body directly without needing to warm the air around you, a process known as conversion.
Infrared is divided into three segments based on wavelengths:
- Near Infrared (0.76-1.5 microns)
- Middle Infrared (1.5-5.6 microns)
- Far Infrared (5.6-1000 microns)
Far Infrared penetrates organic substances like the human body, reaching two to three inches deep, ensuring a uniform warming effect.
Are Infrared Rays Safe?
Infrared rays, being part of natural sunlight, are safe and highly beneficial on a cellular level. Infrared heat lamps have been used in health care for decades to treat muscle and joint issues. In neonatal care, incubators use infrared heating systems to keep newborns warm.
What is an Electromagnetic Field (EMF)?
An Electromagnetic Field (EMF) is produced by electrically charged objects and combines an electric field and a magnetic field. The magnetic field is measured in milligauss (mG). Maxxus saunas are designed with low EMF technology. The average EMF of their carbon heater panels ranges between 5mG-10mG at about two inches, with Ultra Low EMF models ranging from 3mG-5mG and Near Zero EMF models under 3mG.
How It Works
Infrared saunas use infrared radiant energy to directly heat the body, unlike traditional saunas that use steam to heat the air. Traditional saunas need temperatures as high as 190°F to be effective, while infrared saunas only require a maximum temperature of 120°F to achieve similar results. This lower temperature makes the environment more comfortable, allowing for easier breathing.
Health Benefits
Infrared rays deeply penetrate the body, providing a heating effect in muscles and internal organs without putting excessive strain on the heart. The body's natural cooling process of perspiration is triggered, removing toxins like alcohol, nicotine, heavy metals (zinc, lead, nickel, cadmium), and more. It also helps shed old skin cells, leaving your skin glowing with improved tone, texture, and elasticity.
Health benefits include:
- Pain relief from rheumatoid arthritis
- Relaxation of muscle spasms
- Reduction of cellulite
- Increased blood circulation
- Clearer skin, including rashes and acne
- Enhanced skin tone and elasticity
- Cardiovascular conditioning
- Reduced stress and fatigue
- Toxin removal
Sauna Maintenance
Infrared saunas require little maintenance as they don't use hot rocks, water, or steam. Simply wipe down the interior with a damp, soft cloth. Avoid using chemical-based cleaning agents, as they may be absorbed by the wood and released during sauna use.
